October 16-18 was“Mission Impossible”,the Moe Fall Camporee. The event was hosted by Troop 270 and had 125 participants. The Scouts did a great job running the events and everything was well organized. Troop 270 put much care and effort into putting together a fun camporee. The weather was chilly Friday night and Saturday morning, but eventually the sun peeked out and the temperature warmed up.
A huge thank you goes out to Troop 270 for all of their hard work, to those who helped to organize, run, plan, cook, and everything else such an event takes, and to all of the participants, the event would not have been a success without any of you.

It’s time again to recharter
Congratulations on a great fall round-up. Hopefully all registrations were turned in at the October Roundtable. If you have any lingering registrations please turn them in ASAP to make the recharter process as easy as possible.

At the recharter orientation we will be going through the process of online rechartering as well as handing out the charter paperwork. Please make sure your unit is represented. Charter turn in is Thursday, February 11, at Roundtable.

She will be contacting each unit to set up a presentation date. We will have a sign-up sheet at future Roundtables, as well as a unit commitment flyer in each saddlebag. Please schedule your presentation as soon as possible.
Hooked on MOE
On October 17, we had the Moe District Fishing Derby. There were about 75 Scouts fishing in Camp Manatoc’s Lake Litchfield. The morning started out quite chilly, but as the day went on the sun peeked out once or twice and it turned out to be a nice day. Thank you to Stan Lero for organizing such a great event. Also, thank you to Jeff Carley and Bill Sinex for counting and measuring fish.
Come to the November Roundtable to meet the winners of the most fish, biggest fish, and smallest fish. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event successful!
